A New York City college student alleges in a lawsuit that Lindsay Lohan was seated next to her at a nightclub and left with her $12,000 mink coat. Maria Markova has sued Lindsay Lohan, claiming she took her mink coat without permission and kept it for more than two weeks. Markova said in a lawsuit that Lohan took the golden sheared mink coat while they were both in a nightclub in January. The lawsuit claims that Lohan’s actions were: “intentional, oppressive and malicious and were carried out with reckless disregard for Markova’s rights.” Lohan’s lawyer, Blair Berk, said it would be inappropriate to comment on the case. Markova’s lawyer, Merrill Cohen, said Lohan had been sitting next to her client. Cohen said Markova next saw her coat on Lohan in a photo in OK! magazine. Cohen said she called Lohan’s representatives and demanded the return of the coat. She said Markova got the coat back Feb. 14. Cohen said the lawsuit, filed in Manhattan’s state Supreme Court, asks unspecified damages.
Harvey Korman, the tall, versatile comedian who won four Emmys for his outrageously funny contributions to “The Carol Burnett Show” and on the big screen in “Blazing Saddles,” has died. He was 81. Korman died at UCLA Medical Center after suffering complications from the rupture of an abdominal aortic aneurysm four months ago, his family said in a statement released by the hospital. His daughter, Kate Korman, said in the statement that it was a “miracle” that her father had survived the aneurysm at all. “Tragically, after such a hard fought battle he passed away,” she said. A natural second banana, Korman gained attention on “The Danny Kaye Show.” He joined the show in 1964 and continued until it was canceled in 1967. That same year he became a cast member in the first season of “The Carol Burnett Show.” Carol Burnett was devastated by the news, said her assistant, Angie Horejsi. “She loved Harvey very much,” Horejsi said. She said Burnett had not yet made a statement. His most memorable film role was as the outlandish Hedley Lamarr in Mel Brooks’ classic 1974 Western satire, “Blazing Saddles.” He also appeared in the Brooks’ comedies “High Anxiety,” “The History of the World Part I” and “Dracula: Dead and Loving It,” as well as two “Pink Panther” moves. In television, Korman guest-starred in dozens of series over the years. While in their ’70s, he and Tim Conway, one of his Burnett show co-stars, toured the country with their show “Tim Conway and Harvey Korman: Together Again.” They did 120 shows a year. Harvey Korman was born Feb. 15, 1927, in Chicago, Illnois. He left college for service in the U.S. Navy, resuming his studies afterward at the Goodman School of Drama at the Chicago Art Institute. After four years, he decided to try New York.”For the next 13 years I tried to get on Broadway, on off-Broadway, under or beside Broadway,” he told an interviewer in 1971.Finally, in desperation, he and a friend formed a nightclub comedy act. “We were fired our first night in a club, between the first and second shows,” he recalled. After returning to Chicago, Korman decided to try Hollywood, reasoning that “at least I’d feel warm and comfortable while I failed.”
After months of denials, newlyweds Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Pete Wentz have made it official: “Yes, they’re expecting a baby.”"While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child,” said a statement on Wentz’s blog. “This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family.” “It’s true,” Simpson-Wentz representative Susan Novak said as further confirmation. The pair exchanged vows earlier this month at her parents’ Los-Angeles area home. Sister Jessica Simpson was the maid of honor. Baby rumors began swirling after the couple announced their engagement last month. At the time, Simpson-Wentz neither confirmed nor denied the reports.
Naomi Campbell has been charged with assaulting two police officers during an alleged luggage rage incident at Heathrow Airport, her lawyer and prosecutors.Campbell was charged when she reported to Heathrow police station for the April 3 incident, her lawyer Simon Nicholls said. The Crown Prosecution Service said Campbell faces six charges, three counts of assaulting a constable, two counts of using threatening, abusive words or behavior to the cabin crew and one count of disorderly conduct. Police said the assault charges related to the two officers. Campbell was ordered to appear at a west London magistrates’ court June 20.Witnesses said Campbell was aboard a British Airways plane due to take off for Los Angeles when she became involved in a dispute over her luggage. Tens of thousands of bags had been mishandled at Heathrow’s Terminal 5 after its chaotic opening in late March. Campbell was removed from the plane and held for eight hours at the airport police station before being released on bail. Her lawyer said she was “bitterly disappointed” that she had been charged.”Prosecutors in this case have decided she needs to be prosecuted in the magistrates court. She respects that decision and she hopes this matter is dealt with expeditiously,” Nicholls said. The assault charges carry a maximum sentence of six months in prison and/or a fine of up to $10,000. The other charges are punishable by a fine.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz were married at her parents’ Los Angeles-area home with an “Alice in Wonderland” theme. Simpson and Wentz exchanged vows at the property in Encino. The bride wore a wedding dress by Monique Lhuillier and a diamond necklace and earrings by Neil Lane. Sources claim that the couple is expecting a child together, which both Simpson and Wentz have denied. Rumors began to fly early in the week that the wedding was set for the weekend. A flurry of arrangements on Saturday afternoon just outside the guarded gates of the Simpson’s property indicated that Simpson’s wedding to Wentz was imminent. White shuttle vans with dark tinted windows were streaming through the gates, as were several delivery vehicles. The paparazzi had been gathering before 3 p.m., lingering outside the property. Aerial photos posted online on several celebrity Web sites appeared to show several large white party tents. Simpson and Wentz began dating in the fall of 2006 and announced their engagement April 9 of this year.

Obsessed Uma Thurman fan Jack Jordan was found guilty of stalking and harassing her for more than two years, showing up on her front doorstep and movie set and sending her a series of bizarre and threatening “love letters.” Jordan faces up to a year in jail. He was convicted of stalking and one count of aggravated harassment, and acquitted of two other harassment counts. The verdict came after a weeklong trial that featured riveting testimony from Thurman, who told the jury she was “completely freaked out” by Jordan’s behavior.
